Cairns + Associates (cont’d)
The basic notion for the Cairns identity was to merge the reliability
and reach of an established company with the creativity encouraged in
all the individuals who worked there. Even before the big dot-com era,
brainstoring sessions were attended by virtually everyone in residence,
and the company was known for its big ideas.
We developed the Cairns + Associates signature to express this. The letters are generously spaced, to indicate an association of individuals. We replaced the ampersand in the previous company logo with a plus sign (and you know how designers hate to give up an ampersand!).
